Chaotic update and info
Hey Guys!
IMPORTANT:
The Junior High Movie Night that was originally planned for this week has been moved. This is due to the fact that the movie I want to use for discussion is not available to rent until next week.
So, the JR HIGH movie/discussion night will take place instead on Friday, April 25th, 6:00pm-9:30pm.
This Friday, April 11th, we will have a regular Friday night "chill" night, from 7:00pm-9:30pm. (Jr. & Sr. Highs)
Saturday, April 19th- Youth Worship Night 6:00pm
We are holding a loud, proud, rock-based worship service just for you and your friends! If you have friends who think church is boring, invite them to this event! It will be a fantastic, amazing evening. Get the promo card here.
Wednesday, April 30th Starfield Concert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you plan on coming to the concert, you must have signed up by THIS SATURDAY!!!! I will be purchasing the tickets. Come on guys, it is going to be a BLAST!!!!!!! $20/ticket (you will get a refund of under $3, but it is easier to purchase tickets if everyone pays $20 up front). Even if you don't know who Starfield is (Katrina will probably beat you up), still come, because they are amazing.

YC 2008

so, if anyone still wants a spot on our YC trip to Edmonton in May, here is the deal:
if we get 5 more people to hand in their registrations and deposits, we will buy another section. you have until april 30th to do this.
the trip is the weekend of may 23rd-25th. if you need more details (info packet or registration form) please email me (sam@southwooduccalgary.org).

February Update
Hey Guys!!
So, I apologize immensely for all of the scheduling conflicts and changes the past week. I know it is extremely frustrating when things don't go as planned (as much for me as you all....believe me!) But hopefully everything will go smoothly from now on!
What is happening now, you ask?
Sunday, February 10th:
"What's With Lent?" Bible Study, 11:00AM
-It will give you a great Biblical explanation for Lent, and we'll delve into some spiritual practices that can be taken on to make the experience of the season more meaningful.
After the service, about 12:15PM, you are all encouraged to bring a lunch and stay and eat/have some games and fellowship time.
2:00PM: we will leave for Crowfoot Crossing Cineplex Odeon to see "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: A Veggietales Movie"...The movie is playing at 3:00.
Cost: $8.87 per youth...
You can bring me cash, or write a cheque made out to "Sam Grottenberg"
-If you want to have popcorn/drinks/snack, bring some extra cash along
-We should be back at the church by 5:15PM for pickup
I hope that you all can come out, it will be a sweet day, with lots of fun times and VEGGIETALES!!! FINALLY!
A reminder that there are NO scheduled youth events/meetings next weekend (Feb. 15-17), due to teacher's convention, Valentine's Day, and Family Day. We will not meet Friday or Sunday. But you're encouraged to all attend the main service at 11AM!
