November Update

Hey Guys!

I encourage everyone to come out this week on Friday night (Nov. 9). We are having an All-Games Night from 7:00-9:30. It will be a blast, especially if we have lots of people out!!

Here is an outline of what is happening between now and Christmas:

Nov. 9– All-Games Night 7-9:30pm

Nov. 16– Worship Night with a full band and special guest Annika Odegard! 7-9:30pm
This will be a ton of fun, with high energy music and worship, and a talk from Annika about....well, you'll have to come and find out!!

Nov. 23– Movie Night: "Evan Almighty" 7-9:30pm

Nov. 30– City-Wide Youth Event: "Wide Awake"
(off-campus event at Centre Street Church West Campus)
These events are amazing. There were two last year, at other churches. Games, competitions, TONS of other youth groups from all over Calgary, worship service, awesome speakers...it is a BLAST!! Details involving time/cost in the next week or two. Stay tuned.

Dec. 7– All-Games Night 7-9:30pm

Dec. 14– Christmas Party 6-8:00pm

No meetings on Dec. 21 or 28 (Christmas Break). We'll start up again on January 4.

first entry and information

hey guys,

so this blog is going to be used as a multi-purpose kind of thing. i'll use it for communication purposes (one of many methods) to update everyone on events and meetings and such.

also, we're going to start next week with a periodic entry from the group, based on a theme or Biblical topic or whatever.

firstly, i think it wise to inform everyone of the successful kickoff event we had this evening. we met at southwood for pizza and an info meeting, and discussed the outline for our year. then went bowling!

basically, our weekly activities will include the following:
friday nights: 7:00pm-9:30pm regular meetings, with an off-campus event every month.
sunday mornings: 11:00am during the sunday service) Bible study, with every 5th week being in the regular service

REMINDER: for those of you who were not at the meeting, and those of you whose parents were not at the meeting; PARENTS need to fill out the registration/information/waiver/medical (etc.) package. please get it from me as soon as possible so everyone is allowed to participate in youth programming.
